What do we know about Jesus and Mary? For starters, what the evangelists recorded in the gospels. One such mystic was Venerable Maria of Agreda who authored The Mystical City of God, a four-volume book totaling more than 2,000 pages. It’s a daunting task to read, but Marian theologian Fr. Fr. Edward Looney is the pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Shawano, WI and serves as the president of the Mariological Society of America. He has visited Marian shrines all across the world, including Lourdes, Fatima, Knock, Beauraing, Banneux, Pontmain, and Rue du Bac. Fr. Looney publishes regularly on Marian topics, is the author of seven books, and hosts multiple podcasts including The Life of Jesus Christ in a Year.
