Dan Schneider offers prayers for forgiveness, healing, and spiritual protection that guide the faithful to surrender wounds and burdens to Christ. These prayers help release past hurts, invite God’s healing into our hearts, and safeguard the Church from error. Through them, we grow in peace, mercy, and trust in God’s providence.
Prayer to Forgive Others
Heavenly Father, you are holy and righteous. You are perfect in justice. I confess that I have not forgiven as you have commanded me to. Through Jesus Christ, I now forgive these people: _____________ (list names and what they did to you). I confess my pride and judgment of those people. Please forgive me Lord and cleanse me from my sin. Please help me to thoroughly entrust these people and the wrongs they caused me into your hands. I pray that your will be done in my life and in their lives. Please help me to no longer think on those wrongs, but instead to focus my thoughts on you. I invite you, Lord, into any painful memories I have concerning what was done. Please heal any wounds I received and help me to have your perspective on what happened. Thank you, Father. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Prayer for Healing
(This can be modified and prayed for a loved one)
Lord Jesus, Thou camest to heal our wounded and troubled hearts. I beg Thee to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart; I beg Thee, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin. I beg Thee to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my early years and from the injuries that they have caused throughout my life. Lord Jesus, Thou knowest my burdens. I lay them all on Thy Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech Thee—by the merits of the great, open wound in Thy Heart—to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety. Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. Thou who camest to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my own heart. Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer Thee my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of Thy Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble. Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me. Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that Thou art the Resurrection and the Life. Make me an authentic witness to Thy Resurrection, Thy victory over sin and death, Thy living presence among us. Amen.
Protection Prayer against Heresy
All good and holy God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to Thee alone, do we offer right praise and heartfelt worship. Thou art the author of life, true source of every blessing. Thou alone are worthy of our adoration.
Thou created the world as a gift to humanity that we may see your goodness and beauty around us and offer praise to Thee as the sole creator. By Thine decree, Thou gave us the first commandment that no created thing whether it be the earth itself, any created being or anything formed by the hand of man should be bowed down to as an idol.
Forgive, and be merciful to those who fail to heed this divine law. We implore the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our heavenly mother, Conqueress of all heresy. May she crush the serpent of this age and help us to recognize the dangerous spiritual contagion of our day. Insulate Thy Church from error.
Protect the Pope, all Cardinals, Bishops, and Clergy, and the laity from falling into apostasy, schism, or blasphemy. Amen.
